02:00for myself um but you we'll come back a for myself um but you we'll come back a little bit better after the after the little bit better after the after the little bit better after the after the knee heels up and we'll we'll get to knee heels up and we'll we'll get to knee heels up and we'll we'll get to work but it has a great time a great work but it has a great time a great work but it has a great time a great experience what was the most exciting experience what was the most exciting experience what was the most exciting part of you competing on such a big part of you competing on such a big part of you competing on such a big stage stage stage especially in a new sport AI relative especially in a new sport AI relative especially in a new sport AI relative new sport um coming from new sport um coming from new sport um coming from weightlifting or powerlifting sorry yeah weightlifting or powerlifting sorry yeah weightlifting or powerlifting sorry yeah probably the most exciting part was um I probably the most exciting part was um I probably the most exciting part was um I was so one of my buddies that got me was so one of my buddies that got me was so one of my buddies that got me into weightlifting I was able to hang into weightlifting I was able to hang into weightlifting I was able to hang out with their team the entire time and out with their team the entire time and out with their team the entire time and just seeing all of these incredible just seeing all of these incredible just seeing all of these incredible athletes and like I'm not like yet I'm athletes and like I'm not like yet I'm athletes and like I'm not like yet I'm not incredible yet by any standard of not incredible yet by any standard of not incredible yet by any standard of the term but being able to watch these the term but being able to watch these the term but being able to watch these kids who are 20 years old like one of my kids who are 20 years old like one of my kids who are 20 years old like one of my buddies qualified for um PanAm um for buddies qualified for um PanAm um for buddies qualified for um PanAm um for next year and I mean he's 20 and he next year and I mean he's 20 and he next year and I mean he's 20 and he snatched 140 that's crazy clean 169 so

07:00it than what I was looking for so I it than what I was looking for so I bought it 40 bucks like you know what I bought it 40 bucks like you know what I bought it 40 bucks like you know what I mean it's totally worth a shot so um got mean it's totally worth a shot so um got mean it's totally worth a shot so um got it started using it second day I was it started using it second day I was it started using it second day I was like this is awesome Zach you need to like this is awesome Zach you need to like this is awesome Zach you need to try this out he looked into it he was try this out he looked into it he was try this out he looked into it he was like absolutely I gotta try this so he like absolutely I gotta try this so he like absolutely I gotta try this so he bought it he loved it and it kind of bought it he loved it and it kind of bought it he loved it and it kind of just flew around our little circle just flew around our little circle just flew around our little circle pretty quick um and then moving forward pretty quick um and then moving forward pretty quick um and then moving forward once we opened the gym we were like this once we opened the gym we were like this once we opened the gym we were like this is yeah we couldn't help but tell is yeah we couldn't help but tell is yeah we couldn't help but tell everybody about it but for me personally everybody about it but for me personally everybody about it but for me personally it took care of that pressure and tens it took care of that pressure and tens it took care of that pressure and tens that I was like trying to hold in my that I was like trying to hold in my that I was like trying to hold in my face when I was doing the deadlift and face when I was doing the deadlift and face when I was doing the deadlift and then like Zach pointed out I'm terrible then like Zach pointed out I'm terrible then like Zach pointed out I'm terrible sometimes at putting like words to what sometimes at putting like words to what sometimes at putting like words to what I'm feeling but when he said it helped I'm feeling but when he said it helped I'm feeling but when he said it helped brace that's where I really connected brace that's where I really connected brace that's where I really connected the dots is like I could just continue the dots is like I could just continue the dots is like I could just continue to connect everything I was feeling from to connect everything I was feeling from to connect everything I was feeling from top to bottom and just perform my top to bottom and just perform my top to bottom and just perform my deadlift overall a lot deadlift overall a lot deadlift overall a lot better yeah and that's where the biggest better yeah and that's where the biggest better yeah and that's where the biggest help for me I've noticed um is I'm kind help for me I've noticed um is I'm kind help for me I've noticed um is I'm kind of going off the whole tension aspect um
08:00of going off the whole tension aspect um of going off the whole tension aspect um is the biggest thing that I noticed was is the biggest thing that I noticed was is the biggest thing that I noticed was with my squat um so as a powerlifter I with my squat um so as a powerlifter I with my squat um so as a powerlifter I low bar Squat and um naturally you kind low bar Squat and um naturally you kind low bar Squat and um naturally you kind of get queued to drive your back into of get queued to drive your back into of get queued to drive your back into the bar as you're coming the hole um the bar as you're coming the hole um the bar as you're coming the hole um well what I would what would happen is well what I would what would happen is well what I would what would happen is there would be an energy lead uh that there would be an energy lead uh that there would be an energy lead uh that would cause kind of my hips to rise and would cause kind of my hips to rise and would cause kind of my hips to rise and then my shoulders to um fold and then I then my shoulders to um fold and then I then my shoulders to um fold and then I noticed immediately as soon as I put noticed immediately as soon as I put noticed immediately as soon as I put that yeah did you that yeah did you that yeah did you guys um as soon as I put that mouthpiece guys um as soon as I put that mouthpiece guys um as soon as I put that mouthpiece in um I was able to hold more tension in um I was able to hold more tension in um I was able to hold more tension into my back and my shoulders and I into my back and my shoulders and I into my back and my shoulders and I built a better brace um and then that built a better brace um and then that built a better brace um and then that Quee drive your back into the bar it Quee drive your back into the bar it Quee drive your back into the bar it really helped me fire out of the hole um really helped me fire out of the hole um really helped me fire out of the hole um and it basically cured the the I guess
09:00and it basically cured the the I guess and it basically cured the the I guess the weak hamstrings the weak glutes um the weak hamstrings the weak glutes um the weak hamstrings the weak glutes um from shooting out um and I was able to from shooting out um and I was able to from shooting out um and I was able to stay more chest over toes during my stay more chest over toes during my stay more chest over toes during my squat which in return leads to a better squat which in return leads to a better squat which in return leads to a better stronger squat um so it helped with the stronger squat um so it helped with the stronger squat um so it helped with the redirection of force in the bottom of my redirection of force in the bottom of my redirection of force in the bottom of my squat H do you want to touch on how it squat H do you want to touch on how it squat H do you want to touch on how it helped you and how you introduce to it helped you and how you introduce to it helped you and how you introduce to it so they I mean I've I've known about so they I mean I've I've known about so they I mean I've I've known about airwave for a minute because coming from airwave for a minute because coming from airwave for a minute because coming from powerlifting um I've been and like a not powerlifting um I've been and like a not powerlifting um I've been and like a not really a strongman background but I used really a strongman background but I used really a strongman background but I used to lifted a strongman gy on the side um to lifted a strongman gy on the side um to lifted a strongman gy on the side um and so I've known about you know one and so I've known about you know one and so I've known about you know one just using mouth guards and general but just using mouth guards and general but just using mouth guards and general but I was never really gonna you know send I was never really gonna you know send I was never really gonna you know send that and buy a mouse guard for myself that and buy a mouse guard for myself that and buy a mouse guard for myself but i' know of Jen Thompson of course but i' know of Jen Thompson of course but i' know of Jen Thompson of course one of your most famous athletes um one of your most famous athletes um one of your most famous athletes um rocking the air wve and I'd heard about rocking the air wve and I'd heard about rocking the air wve and I'd heard about it and I was very curious about it and
10:00it and I was very curious about it and it and I was very curious about it and then of course they show up and they then of course they show up and they then of course they show up and they introduced this to me and um they let me introduced this to me and um they let me introduced this to me and um they let me give it a shot and I was really give it a shot and I was really give it a shot and I was really impressed because one I started using it impressed because one I started using it impressed because one I started using it for most of my accessories like my heavy for most of my accessories like my heavy for most of my accessories like my heavy squats my heavy HS rdl's anything more squats my heavy HS rdl's anything more squats my heavy HS rdl's anything more of a um thoroughly strength Focus just of a um thoroughly strength Focus just of a um thoroughly strength Focus just to see how I could use that and I've got to see how I could use that and I've got to see how I could use that and I've got a big problem um I've got a jacked up a big problem um I've got a jacked up a big problem um I've got a jacked up sinus and so I struggle with mouth sinus and so I struggle with mouth sinus and so I struggle with mouth breathing and you're not going to have breathing and you're not going to have breathing and you're not going to have the same kind of carryover with mouth the same kind of carryover with mouth the same kind of carryover with mouth breathing as you would with nose breathing as you would with nose breathing as you would with nose breathing and so being able to um mostly breathing and so being able to um mostly breathing and so being able to um mostly utilize that tongue bar and like Liz was utilize that tongue bar and like Liz was utilize that tongue bar and like Liz was touching on relieving that tension um I touching on relieving that tension um I touching on relieving that tension um I mean my squats I mean I'm a high bar mean my squats I mean I'm a high bar mean my squats I mean I'm a high bar squatter now with Olympic weightlifting squatter now with Olympic weightlifting squatter now with Olympic weightlifting and my squats felt so much better um and my squats felt so much better um and my squats felt so much better um being able to breathe through the whole being able to breathe through the whole being able to breathe through the whole movement instead of having to hold my movement instead of having to hold my movement instead of having to hold my breath the whole time and
11:00breath the whole time and breath the whole time and and just do that and just hope I don't and just do that and just hope I don't and just do that and just hope I don't black out at the top of the squat which black out at the top of the squat which black out at the top of the squat which I used to do all the time um and so I used to do all the time um and so I used to do all the time um and so being able to force that nasal breathing being able to force that nasal breathing being able to force that nasal breathing because it's forcing my tongue into a because it's forcing my tongue into a because it's forcing my tongue into a better position was great and um before better position was great and um before better position was great and um before the Arnold I started slowly utilizing it the Arnold I started slowly utilizing it the Arnold I started slowly utilizing it with some of my classic list um which is with some of my classic list um which is with some of my classic list um which is a little interesting to start because a little interesting to start because a little interesting to start because I'm used to just I mean I would yell I'm used to just I mean I would yell I'm used to just I mean I would yell keep my mouth open as I'm pulling the keep my mouth open as I'm pulling the keep my mouth open as I'm pulling the snatch up and overhead or in the snatch up and overhead or in the snatch up and overhead or in the cleaning cleaning cleaning um it was a little bit of a hard um it was a little bit of a hard um it was a little bit of a hard transition for me to go to keeping that transition for me to go to keeping that transition for me to go to keeping that mouse guard in keeping it shut but I mouse guard in keeping it shut but I mouse guard in keeping it shut but I started to have a nicer set one in the started to have a nicer set one in the started to have a nicer set one in the bottom of the snack the bottom of the bottom of the snack the bottom of the bottom of the snack the bottom of the clean and being able to maintain my clean and being able to maintain my clean and being able to maintain my brace and upright posture in the gr um brace and upright posture in the gr um brace and upright posture in the gr um because I I'm not focused on I shouldn't because I I'm not focused on I shouldn't because I I'm not focused on I shouldn't say I'm not focused but like it allows say I'm not focused but like it allows say I'm not focused but like it allows me to almost second nature keep that me to almost second nature keep that me to almost second nature keep that brace and keep breathing through my nose
12:00brace and keep breathing through my nose brace and keep breathing through my nose and so I'm not sitting there with like a and so I'm not sitting there with like a and so I'm not sitting there with like a Max uh Max effort clean and jerk and I'm Max uh Max effort clean and jerk and I'm Max uh Max effort clean and jerk and I'm just slowly blacking out because I just slowly blacking out because I just slowly blacking out because I haven't breathed this entire time haven't breathed this entire time haven't breathed this entire time because I'm trying to hold my brace and because I'm trying to hold my brace and because I'm trying to hold my brace and so that's been the most the biggest so that's been the most the biggest so that's been the most the biggest benefit for me is forcing me into nasal benefit for me is forcing me into nasal benefit for me is forcing me into nasal breathing and also relieving that breathing and also relieving that breathing and also relieving that tension in there it's been it's been tension in there it's been it's been tension in there it's been it's been incredible and just a a good way to incredible and just a a good way to incredible and just a a good way to reinforce those good breathing habits I think it's crazy to just in the habits I think it's crazy to just in the fact that it's a mouthpiece and at first fact that it's a mouthpiece and at first fact that it's a mouthpiece and at first side of it it looks it doesn't seem like side of it it looks it doesn't seem like side of it it looks it doesn't seem like anything special and there's like a lot anything special and there's like a lot anything special and there's like a lot of people are like how is that really of people are like how is that really of people are like how is that really anything that helps it just being a anything that helps it just being a anything that helps it just being a mouthpiece um a lot of Skeptics about it mouthpiece um a lot of Skeptics about it mouthpiece um a lot of Skeptics about it and as powerlifters or with a background and as powerlifters or with a background and as powerlifters or with a background in powerlifting each of y'all I would in powerlifting each of y'all I would in powerlifting each of y'all I would assume are familiar with some type of assume are familiar with some type of assume are familiar with some type of mouth guard mouthpiece um that athletes mouth guard mouthpiece um that athletes mouth guard mouthpiece um that athletes across the board use but what would across the board use but what would across the board use but what would y'all say is setting air wve apart from y'all say is setting air wve apart from y'all say is setting air wve apart from other mouthpieces Victor I know you
