05:00immersed immersed so basically when i when i first got in uh i'd had i when i when i first got in uh i'd had i when i when i first got in uh i'd had i had no experience whatsoever with called had no experience whatsoever with called had no experience whatsoever with called so it was like so it was like so it was like a complete shock to the system but a complete shock to the system but a complete shock to the system but that's what you want that's what you want that's what you want and um and um and um basically uh i just i felt like basically uh i just i felt like basically uh i just i felt like it just completely took my breath away it just completely took my breath away it just completely took my breath away and it was that fight or flight response and it was that fight or flight response and it was that fight or flight response and and what i should have done was just what i should have done was just what i should have done was just ignored it and gone with it just ignored it and gone with it just ignored it and gone with it just completely gone with it and just completely gone with it and just completely gone with it and just like accepted the cold like accepted the cold like accepted the cold but but but like my body was just saying no like my body was just saying no like my body was just saying no however i think when you i think when you um um um so there is a point of accepting the so there is a point of accepting the so there is a point of accepting the cold and i've i've spoke to a couple of cold and i've i've spoke to a couple of cold and i've i've spoke to a couple of other guys that do your your group other guys that do your your group other guys that do your your group yeah um yeah um yeah um and i know obviously with it being a and i know obviously with it being a and i know obviously with it being a group sometimes ego takes over and that group sometimes ego takes over and that group sometimes ego takes over and that will power whereas you you listen you will power whereas you you listen you will power whereas you you listen you was more in tune with your body where

07:00like a completely different person you like a completely different person you feel like you could take on the entire feel like you could take on the entire feel like you could take on the entire world world world there's nothing nothing ever compares to there's nothing nothing ever compares to there's nothing nothing ever compares to it it it ever ever ever like like like it's it's it's like like for anyone that like i don't know for anyone that like i don't know for anyone that like i don't know suffers with any sort of anxieties suffers with any sort of anxieties suffers with any sort of anxieties depressions any sort of mental illness depressions any sort of mental illness depressions any sort of mental illness i can't recommend it enough i can't recommend it enough i can't recommend it enough because for me like it's it's there's nothing nothing that it's it's there's nothing nothing that can compare ever can compare ever can compare ever so let's let's talk a little bit so let's let's talk a little bit so let's let's talk a little bit clearly clearly you've had uh a great clearly clearly you've had uh a great clearly clearly you've had uh a great personal breakthrough personal breakthrough personal breakthrough in that in that space so in that in that space so in that in that space so let's bring it back to sort of like let's bring it back to sort of like let's bring it back to sort of like how that mental chatter was how that mental chatter was how that mental chatter was yeah pre-cold therapy yeah pre-cold therapy yeah pre-cold therapy and and let's sort of jump into it as um and and let's sort of jump into it as um and and let's sort of jump into it as um you've done a few sessions so your full you've done a few sessions so your full you've done a few sessions so your full body your whole body exposure and body your whole body exposure and body your whole body exposure and what sort of changed and where are you what sort of changed and where are you what sort of changed and where are you now so you know because you would have

09:00and at the start as i think we all do we all at the start as i think we all do we all at the start as i think we all do we all get um get um get um so we all seem to go for a process which so we all seem to go for a process which so we all seem to go for a process which is is is first learning to accept and get first learning to accept and get first learning to accept and get comfortable with the water comfortable with the water comfortable with the water um um and that that time frame is all and that that time frame is all and that that time frame is all different for for all of us different for for all of us different for for all of us um um and and then you get the part where you and and then you get the part where you and and then you get the part where you get get get excited to go into the water and excited to go into the water and excited to go into the water and and there's different processes like we and there's different processes like we and there's different processes like we we love that that first hit a cold that we love that that first hit a cold that we love that that first hit a cold that big sort of like big sort of like big sort of like diaphragmatic breath that sort of diaphragmatic breath that sort of diaphragmatic breath that sort of captivates us and then we love captivates us and then we love captivates us and then we love how how how whatever [ __ ] we've got going on in whatever [ __ ] we've got going on in whatever [ __ ] we've got going on in our head just zoom is just instantly our head just zoom is just instantly our head just zoom is just instantly come on come on come on and so somebody and so somebody and so somebody you know i i've suffered um and still do you know i i've suffered um and still do you know i i've suffered um and still do i still get um i still get um i still get um like flashbacks of things traumatic like flashbacks of things traumatic like flashbacks of things traumatic experiences from my my injury and sort
10:00experiences from my my injury and sort experiences from my my injury and sort of the experience around that of the experience around that of the experience around that um which trigger us so um which trigger us so um which trigger us so how do you how do you use cold water how do you how do you use cold water how do you how do you use cold water therapy effectively uh around therapy effectively uh around therapy effectively uh around sort of that maintenance of your your sort of that maintenance of your your sort of that maintenance of your your anxiety is you know do you use it like anxiety is you know do you use it like anxiety is you know do you use it like for instance you've had a rubbish day for instance you've had a rubbish day for instance you've had a rubbish day will you go and have a cold shower or will you go and have a cold shower or will you go and have a cold shower or you know you know yeah so my my routine um yeah so my my routine um yeah so my my routine um is is i i go to work i i go to work i i go to work after i come home from work i'll get after i come home from work i'll get after i come home from work i'll get straight in a freezing cold shower or straight in a freezing cold shower or straight in a freezing cold shower or or an ice bath and then i'll go train or an ice bath and then i'll go train or an ice bath and then i'll go train um um but i i do but i i do but i i do i change it up occasionally because it's i change it up occasionally because it's i change it up occasionally because it's really good for um really good for um really good for um like muscle therapy as well like muscle therapy as well like muscle therapy as well yeah like for anyone that that trains yeah like for anyone that that trains yeah like for anyone that that trains like quite intensely or just in general like quite intensely or just in general like quite intensely or just in general like for aches and pains like i'll i'll like for aches and pains like i'll i'll like for aches and pains like i'll i'll have one if i'm aching like the next day have one if i'm aching like the next day have one if i'm aching like the next day i'll have one in the morning before work
11:00i'll have one in the morning before work i'll have one in the morning before work so so now it's so so so now it's so so so now it's so the the initial the initial reasons for the the initial the initial reasons for the the initial the initial reasons for stepping into the cold uh around the stepping into the cold uh around the stepping into the cold uh around the anxiety anxiety let's call it the mental health stuff let's call it the mental health stuff let's call it the mental health stuff which has been transformed to which has been transformed to which has been transformed to uh well-being and managing that process uh well-being and managing that process uh well-being and managing that process and as as life goes ups and downs so so and as as life goes ups and downs so so and as as life goes ups and downs so so do we do we do we and you you use it when you're when you and you you use it when you're when you and you you use it when you're when you feel yourself coming down you will feel yourself coming down you will feel yourself coming down you will actively use it in that space actively use it in that space actively use it in that space but what uh what i'm hearing is what but what uh what i'm hearing is what but what uh what i'm hearing is what it's also taught you is along that it's also taught you is along that it's also taught you is along that journey for further search for mental journey for further search for mental journey for further search for mental well-being well-being well-being is you've noticed how you were able to is you've noticed how you were able to is you've noticed how you were able to manage the aches and pains of manage the aches and pains of manage the aches and pains of having a tough training regime to stay having a tough training regime to stay having a tough training regime to stay in shape in shape in shape do your calisthenics and all the other do your calisthenics and all the other do your calisthenics and all the other stuff that you do stuff that you do stuff that you do which i'm assuming allows you to which i'm assuming allows you to which i'm assuming allows you to be act more active the next day and be act more active the next day and be act more active the next day and deal with those aches and pains

13:00have you always had a like from let's have you always had a like from let's say from school say from school say from school uh that you've oh uh that you've oh uh that you've oh that like the over analyzing the the that like the over analyzing the the that like the over analyzing the the what if questions has that always been what if questions has that always been what if questions has that always been something that you something that you something that you have done or is it just something that have done or is it just something that have done or is it just something that as we all do as we all do as we all do you know we get on social media we're you know we get on social media we're you know we get on social media we're listening to the bs that's going on listening to the bs that's going on listening to the bs that's going on around and all the fear-mongering that's around and all the fear-mongering that's around and all the fear-mongering that's going on in the in the world today going on in the in the world today going on in the in the world today you know you know is it something that is it something is it something that is it something is it something that is it something that you've had to deal with or is it that you've had to deal with or is it that you've had to deal with or is it something that as you've grown older something that as you've grown older something that as you've grown older that's come about that's come about that's come about yeah well um i didn't i've had it like yeah well um i didn't i've had it like yeah well um i didn't i've had it like all my life pretty much but all my life pretty much but all my life pretty much but it became very very noticeable like uh it became very very noticeable like uh it became very very noticeable like uh in my late teen years yeah in my late teen years yeah in my late teen years yeah but it's but it's but it's that that was all like self-induced like that that was all like self-induced like that that was all like self-induced like i went through a period of heavily i went through a period of heavily i went through a period of heavily taking drugs and partying and you know taking drugs and partying and you know taking drugs and partying and you know just that sort of lifestyle and just that sort of lifestyle and just that sort of lifestyle and that caused that caused it to get much that caused that caused it to get much that caused that caused it to get much much worse much worse much worse yeah like the thoughts would get louder
