03:00jump into into the hot and cold therapy jump into into the hot and cold therapy side of things because for me I've side of things because for me I've side of things because for me I've always known about hot therapy um I always known about hot therapy um I always known about hot therapy um I think as kids we've always known about think as kids we've always known about think as kids we've always known about it like you know someone has a bad back it like you know someone has a bad back it like you know someone has a bad back uh actually really we've known about uh actually really we've known about uh actually really we've known about both but we sort as kids and growing up both but we sort as kids and growing up both but we sort as kids and growing up my my thought process was always okay my my thought process was always okay my my thought process was always okay you injure yourself you hit your knee you injure yourself you hit your knee you injure yourself you hit your knee you put an ice pack on it um you have a you put an ice pack on it um you have a you put an ice pack on it um you have a bad back you put a heat pack um but I've bad back you put a heat pack um but I've bad back you put a heat pack um but I've never only recently have I really never only recently have I really never only recently have I really understood the the relationship they can understood the the relationship they can understood the the relationship they can both have and how they can sort of both both have and how they can sort of both both have and how they can sort of both be used for the same things but be used for the same things but be used for the same things but different things yeah definitely so different things yeah definitely so different things yeah definitely so they're absolutely opposing um in terms they're absolutely opposing um in terms they're absolutely opposing um in terms of the benefits of what they can do but of the benefits of what they can do but of the benefits of what they can do but then working together there are so many then working together there are so many then working together there are so many incredible things that can come from incredible things that can come from incredible things that can come from this uh so for example reducing pain this uh so for example reducing pain this uh so for example reducing pain increasing our circulation in our body increasing our circulation in our body increasing our circulation in our body and reducing inflammation just to name a and reducing inflammation just to name a and reducing inflammation just to name a few uh but when we do hot there are some few uh but when we do hot there are some few uh but when we do hot there are some specific things that are happening to specific things that are happening to specific things that are happening to our body and when we do cold there are our body and when we do cold there are our body and when we do cold there are also some specific things that are also some specific things that are also some specific things that are happening to our body and then when we happening to our body and then when we happening to our body and then when we do alternate therapy which is uh the

10:00going from being really hot to something going from being really hot to something which is probably cold like um that which is probably cold like um that which is probably cold like um that really gets to me um cold showers I really gets to me um cold showers I really gets to me um cold showers I don't like you know but saying that in don't like you know but saying that in don't like you know but saying that in the last couple of years more than ever the last couple of years more than ever the last couple of years more than ever I've just been reading things listening I've just been reading things listening I've just been reading things listening to podcasts I was at an event the other to podcasts I was at an event the other to podcasts I was at an event the other day and somebody was talking about the day and somebody was talking about the day and somebody was talking about the benefits of cold showers and cold benefits of cold showers and cold benefits of cold showers and cold therapy um C can can we get into that as therapy um C can can we get into that as therapy um C can can we get into that as well now because I feel like this is well now because I feel like this is well now because I feel like this is something a lot of us will are probably something a lot of us will are probably something a lot of us will are probably more familiar with the hot side of more familiar with the hot side of more familiar with the hot side of things um and not as much with the cold things um and not as much with the cold things um and not as much with the cold um apart from from probably what we've um apart from from probably what we've um apart from from probably what we've seen on social media and seen our seen on social media and seen our seen on social media and seen our friends do in the last 3 or 4 years but friends do in the last 3 or 4 years but friends do in the last 3 or 4 years but um coal therapy's really made a bit of a um coal therapy's really made a bit of a um coal therapy's really made a bit of a an appearance hasn't it recently yeah an appearance hasn't it recently yeah an appearance hasn't it recently yeah definitely there's the trends all over definitely there's the trends all over definitely there's the trends all over Tik Tok of people videoing their ice Tik Tok of people videoing their ice Tik Tok of people videoing their ice plunges and their cold baths and it's plunges and their cold baths and it's plunges and their cold baths and it's definitely gain momentum it's definitely gain momentum it's definitely gain momentum it's uncomfortable it's such a challenge and uncomfortable it's such a challenge and uncomfortable it's such a challenge and I think most people would agree with you I think most people would agree with you I think most people would agree with you you know cold showers are horrible at you know cold showers are horrible at you know cold showers are horrible at the best of times but with the the best of times but with the the best of times but with the temperatures that we're seeing with the temperatures that we're seeing with the temperatures that we're seeing with the cold plunges and the ice plunges it is cold plunges and the ice plunges it is cold plunges and the ice plunges it is more than just uncomfortable it is
